When we connect, anything is possible
Cisco helps seize the opportunities of tomorrow by proving that amazing things can happen when you connect the unconnected. An integral part of our DNA is creating long-lasting customer partnerships, working together to identify our customers’ needs and provide solutions that fuel their success.
We have preserved this keen focus on solving business challenges since our founding in 1984. Len Bosack and wife Sandy Lerner, both working for Stanford University, wanted to email each other from their respective offices, but technological shortcomings did not allow such communication. A technology had to be invented to deal with disparate local area protocols, and as a result of solving their challenge, the multiprotocol router was born.
Didem Duru - General Manager
As Cisco Turkey, it was a great process for us to participate in the Happy Place to Work research. The research and survey process made significant contributions to our understanding of workplace culture and employee well-being. We regularly communicate directly with our employees and receive their feedback. In addition, we believe that independent evaluations are very important in terms of measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas for improvement. The Happy Place to Work research was also very valuable for us to listen to our employees from a different perspective.
We are really proud to be recognized as “Turkey’s Happiest Workplace in the IT Sector”. This award is an indication of Cisco’s focus on maintaining the “Conscious Working Culture” that it has created with a focus on learning, understanding and embracing diversity as a strength.
On the other hand, we believe that companies’ sensitivity to developments in their environment and their adaptation to change have an important place in creating a ‘Happy Workplace’.
As Cisco, we attach great importance to social responsibility projects in order to support the solution of the problems that arise in our environment with our employees, while directing the hybrid work to be much more effective and efficient with the technologies we have developed.
The Happy Workplace award is an indicator of what we can achieve when we put our employees first. At Cisco, we are committed to protect these values, and we thank our people for everything they do.
